BIG STOVE... GINTER ŁOSTOŃ - drama

A fascinating story about the Silesian community that lives, loves and faces problems - in the glow, and sometimes in the shadow of the GREAT FURNACE OF HUTA POJOJ. There are many plots and many characters inscribed in our show, the BIG FURNACE is one of them... This giant metallurgical device towers over the city, fits into the rhythm of life, determines and sometimes enslaves. “This stove, this is our bread oven, the womb of our life (...),” says one of the characters in the drama. And it is true, the GREAT FURNACE is a symbol, it is a metaphor, it is like the word amen that ends the bead. Dramatic conversations, extraordinary interpersonal relationships, humor and emotion - all this fits into the latest performance of the Silesian Impresarial Theater named after Henryk Bista. Acting creations, excellent music, period costumes and surprising twists, plus the timeless truth and wisdom of the people living here - the SILESIANS.

This is not a documentary based on historical facts — it is an honest story inspired by the fate of metallurgical families. Inspired by memories and dreams. The Silesian Impresarial Theatre once again invites you to meet and talk about important things - about us, about OUR SILESIA... in Silesian.
