How do you create your own visual language? Where to get inspiration and how to translate it into projects that remain in your memory?

We invite you to a meeting with Jakub Stępnie “Hakobo” — a graphic designer, designer and artist from Łódź, whose work includes posters, visual identification and utility graphics, as well as activities at the border of art and design. He has been running Hakobo Studio for years, and among his projects are projects for cultural institutions, artistic events and famous brands. He has collaborated with, among others, the Museum of Art in Łódź, the Łódź Design Festival, Tate Britain and Netflix.

During the meeting we will talk about his creative path, the work of the designer, the search for his own style and inspirations that can be found not only in art, but also in the everyday environment. There will also be themes related to Łódź and the places and experiences that accompanied him at different stages of artistic development.

It will be an opportunity to look behind the scenes of the graphic artist's work and talk about design, visual culture and how from an idea to a finished realization.
