POLISH POLYVOWEL

Art'n'Voices is a band that is a strong brand in the Polish music landscape. This is due to several factors, most notably the enormous musicality, the precision of the performance and the repertoire carefully selected and created especially for the band. The vocal octet has been operating for more than 15 years, has 10 albums and more than 300 concerts, and on the shelf of Fryderyka, i.e. Polish phonographic awards. However, it is not the numbers and trophies that testify to its uniqueness, but the way it works. Art'n'Voices also organizes its own festival and initiates the creation of new compositions, acts a bit like an institution that changes the musical life around it, inspires, educates and seeks new paths to reach the audience.

The program of the concert shows how wide the spectrum of interests of the band is. There will be many vocal compositions key to Polish choral music by composers: Feliks Nowowiejski, Andrzej Koszewski, Romuald Twardowski and Józef Świdr. There will also be two well-known songs from Stanisław Moniuszko's House Song Book — Prząśniczka and Pieśna večorna in the version for an ensemble of eight vocalists. Art'n'Voices will also sing the music of its region — the author of brilliant studies of traditional music and compositions by artists from Kashubia is the composer, pianist and conductor co-creating the ensemble — Anna Rocławska-Musiałczyk.

Concert co-organized by the National Institute of Music and Dance as part of the program “Stage of Polish Music”, financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage
