In the program: Ludwig van Beethoven Piano Trio in E major Op. 1 No. 1 Andrzej Panufnik Piano Trio Op. 1 [break] Johannes Brahms Piano Trio in B major Op. 8 No. 1

Three composers, three instruments, three eras and three musical styles. The classic, extended Trio of Ludwig van Beethoven. Romantic, but with the classic feature of Johannes Brahms's Trio. Slightly lyrical, focused, and in places danceable and playful Trio by Andrzej Panufnik. Three very interesting works, written by young artists at the beginning of their artistic path. Each of these compositions invites you on an extraordinary journey, where violin, cello and piano lead the listener along musical paths.

The Wieniawski Piano Trio was founded in 2019 on the initiative of pianist Przemysław Witek. The ensemble consists of: Przemysław Witek — piano, Tomasz Kulisiewicz — violin and Zofia Kulisiewicz — cello. The name of the formation refers to the figure of Józef Wieniawski — an outstanding Polish pianist and composer of the Romantic era. Since the beginning of its activity, one of the most important artistic assumptions of the Ensemble has been to popularize the Polish repertoire for piano trio and to present it in the broad context of the European chamber tradition. The members of the Wieniawski Piano Trio have extensive solo, chamber and orchestral experience.
