Wild Horse Nine

Set at the cusp of the ascendence of dictator Augusto Pinochet, this off-kilter buddy film sees Malkovich embody an aging officer in charge of the foul-mouthed protégé (Rockwell) who sees their dispatch as a quasi-holiday.

As conspiracy theories fly, paranoia ensues and their trust in one another is pushed to the limits as they cross paths with two rebellious women who threaten to derail the assignment.

With his usual incisive dialogue, McDonagh (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and The Banshees of Inisherin) slyly confronts our contemporary political climate. Featuring an all-star supporting cast with Steve Buscemi, Mariana di Girolamo, Tom Waits, Parker Posey.
