Rotating Earth

Basic information related to the vortex and orbital motion of the Earth: the phenomenon of day and night and the succession of seasons. We explain in an accessible way how the appearance of the sky and the arrangement of the constellations change during the year, what role the North Star plays and where the phases of the Moon come from. We look at how long a day and a year are on other planets by presenting selected differences between Earth and other planets in the solar system. The “Rotating Earth” session is an excellent teaching aid in the teaching of nature, geography and the basics of astronomy.
