Welcome to Hope

Cinema realized with great vigor from the borderline of science fiction and horror.

MICHAEL FASSBENDER and ALICIA VIKANDER in the most expensive film produced in South Korea.

A science fiction superproduction so outstanding that it had its world premiere in the competition of the CANNES Festival.

A brilliantly constructed atmosphere of danger, brilliant special effects and brutality worthy of Asian cinema.

Residents of the quiet coastal town of Hope are cut off from the world by deadly wildfires that consume the surrounding forests. The police receive numerous reports of unusual activity of predatory animals that begin to attack people. It soon turns out that these dramatic events are a harbinger of something much worse. People begin to die under increasingly drastic circumstances, and it soon becomes clear that Hope has become the target of an attack by mysterious creatures that do not resemble either humans or animals. Where do they come from, what are their intentions, and is Hope just part of some larger plan? Two local police officers are trying to find answers to these questions. In order to do this, they must first survive.
