The action of the film takes place in a quiet seaside town. As the mysterious creature begins to wreak havoc, the local police begin an investigation, and a group of hunters decide to track down the threat on their own. The situation quickly spirals out of control, and the struggle for survival moves from the streets to the forest wastelands, to cars and to the backs of rushing horses. In a series of dynamic and spectacular clashes, Hope residents and uninvited guests confront each other.
