Architecture likes to meet friends. One of them is us, and the other very important friend is... sunlight.
When we come together — architecture, sunlight and us — the extraordinary fun begins. But only in buildings with stained-glass windows, because only there the light falls through the colored glass and turns into dancing colored spots.
If you walk into a church or other building with stained glass on a sunny day and look around carefully, you can see colorful lights running down the walls and floor. Sometimes they stop near the windows, and sometimes they run away further. The fun is to track them all down. And discover what the stained-glass windows tell us.
But what exactly are stained-glass windows?
Why are they made?
And what stories can be hidden in them?
During the workshop we will discover the secrets of stained glass, and finally we will create our own stained-glass window — and without the use of glass!
Architects, come!
The workshop is conducted by Beata Staniszewska - archaeologist, lover of history and Warsaw, long-time educator. In his free time, he paints watercolor plants and animals.
For whom: families with children from 7 to 12 years
