How do you look at water to see more than just a chemical compound necessary for life? What properties make it the foundation of the processes occurring in nature and living organisms? Answers to these questions will be provided by the meeting of the Scientific and Cultural University of the Polish Academy of Skills and the Museum in Gliwice.
The lecture “Water is life, through the eyes of a chemist, physicist and molecular biologist” will be given by Prof. Ewa Brocławik, a chemist specializing in quantum chemistry. She is a full professor emeritus of the Institute of Catalysis and Surface Physicochemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences and director of the III Faculty of Exact and Technical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Skills. In his scientific work, he deals with the theoretical study of the properties and behavior of chemical molecules. The lecture will be an opportunity to look at the unusual properties of water from the perspective of science.
We invite you on October 29, 2026 (Thursday) at 16.00 to Villa Caro at ul. Dolnych Wały 8a in Gliwice.
