Wodecki. Good evening to you

Wodecki. Good evening to you is an intimate evening with songs by Zbigniew Wodecki performed by actresses and actors of the Polish Theatre in Wrocław — four voices accompanied by piano and cello. Emanuel Ratajczyk's arrangements — preserving the recognizable melodic line of the pieces — bring out their musical artistry, which goes hand in hand with lightness and directness.

You will hear a repertoire co-created by many authors. In addition to Wodecki's own compositions, there are works written by such artists as Ryszard Poznanowski or Filip Siejka, to the words of authors of this measure, such as Jonasz Kofta, Wojciech Młynarski or Leszek Długosz. This interweaving of different sensibilities is arranged in a way that is recognizable to Wodecki, a characteristic way of telling about the world.

Subsequent pieces are arranged in a kind of conversation about love, trust, transience, the power of memories, naturalness and how one can “live better” without succumbing to the omnipresent rush. The mood is built by reflection on everyday life combined with humor and a pinch of sentimentality. The elegant setting, the atmosphere of the 80s and the calm pace create the atmosphere of the meeting — warm, without haste, without fuss; because as Wodecki said: “People need normal contact. “Nothing but truth and naturalness.”

Stay with us for longer

An evening with Wodecki does not have to start with the first song or end with the last. The bar next to the stage in the former casino is open one hour before the show and for an hour after it ends. So you can come earlier, and after the performance stay for a while, talk and extend this evening.

For those who want to spend it in a particularly special way, we have prepared VIP tables for two people. Seats at the table can be purchased on our website or at the ticket office. The number of tables is limited.
