Wojtek Mazolewski Solo Rzeszow Jazz Festival 2026

Wojtek Mazolewski, leader of the bands Pink Freud and Wojtek Mazolewski Quintet, invites you to a solo concert as part of the Rzeszów Jazz Festival 2026. In the chamber hall of the Podkarpackie Philharmonic, he will present the program “Solo”, focusing on the sound of the double bass.

In this version, the instrument leads the melody and builds the mood of the whole performance. Mazolewski focuses on the timbre of the sound, its sounding and the space between phrases. The intimate formula allows you to hear the nuances that in team play often remain in the background.

The material “Solo” grew out of music created for the play “OK.NO (The Window)” for the Old Theatre in Lublin. His cinematic character combines focus with rhythmic pulse and freedom of improvisation. This is an opportunity to get to know the more personal face of the musician, whom the audience associates with the energy of jazz bands and openness to different genres.
