In the course we have a UV illuminator that can illuminate up to 50x70 poster format. The UV illuminator has an illumination time of 30 minutes and can accommodate 2 cyanotypes at a time. Therefore, we fill the waiting time with cyanotypy in smaller formats, so we are constantly testing and experiencing what we can do with the magic light pressure.

The workshop starts with a presentation of the technique. We'll get into the story behind it and look at a number of examples of the variety of terms you can achieve with cyanotype. Then there will be ample opportunity to test the technique in your own experiments. I make various materials available to complement your own motifs and there will be plenty of time to work experimentally with the technique. You will also gain insight into how to build your own UV light box so that you can easily control lighting times in the future,

The library has various printers so you can print your own photos for use in your day's work.

The course here is a good opportunity to advance if you are already working with cyanotypy, but also a good place to start if you are new to the technique.

Bring:
Clothes that can withstand a stain or two
Watercolor paper in different grades if you have (Cardboard can also be used)
Dried or pressed flowers, flat objects and/or anything else you wish to work with as motifs in your cyanotypes
Photos you want to work with digitally on a USB connector or bring your laptop/phone

Expect a material cost of 100, - for 4 pieces of suitable paper in the format 50x70 and various ptin expenses.

I provide coffee, tea and a little sweet :-) Lunch can be bought at FLOKK (SEVERAL BIRD'S LITTLE SISTER) on the living room floor.

It will be possible to buy materials with you after completing the course with a workshop discount of 20%.
