From 17 to 18 October 2026, Wronki will once again become a meeting place for lovers of Polish dances from all over the country.

About the event

From 17 to 18 October 2026, Wronki will once again become a meeting place for lovers of Polish dances from all over the country.

The next edition of the POLISH CUP IN POLISH DANCES of the Polish Section CIOFF® “Wielkopolski Bat” is ahead - an event that combines dance competition, artistic emotions and the living heritage of Polish culture.

The best pairs of Polish dances will appear on the dance floor of the Polish Cup in Polish Dance PS CIOFF®, which will compete in the rhythms of krakowiak, kujawiak, oberek, and mazur. Precision, energy, music and emotions will turn the sports hall at Primary School No. 3 in Wronki into a real ballroom for two days.

“Polish tradition live” is not only the slogan of this year's Polish Cup in Polish Dances.

This is the idea that guides the whole event. Tradition lives when it is present among the people. Especially when it can be seen, heard, danced and experienced with others. On the dance floor of “Wielkopolski Bata” Polish dances are not just a record of old customs. Krakowiak, kujawiak, oberek, mazur and polonaise become a living form of artistic expression, passed down from generation to generation.

“Wielkopolski Bat” is not only a competition for the Polish Cup. It is also a meeting of dancers, instructors, judges, lovers of tradition and the public. This year's edition will be accompanied by performances, additional events, attractions and competitions for participants and spectators. This year, the idea of passing on traditions to the youngest will also be particularly strong.

“Dancing Crows” on the stage of “Wielkopolski Bata”.

One of the unique points of the Sunday program will be the final of the project “Dancing Crows” - a series of educational and artistic workshops aimed at primary school students from the Wronki Municipality. During the classes, children will learn about the music, dance and traditions of the Szamotula Land, discovering the regional heritage through movement, music and active play. The project, carried out by the Puk Arts Foundation, combines regional, musical and movement education, showing the little ones that tradition does not have to be a distant history, but can be something that can be experienced here and now.

On Sunday, October 18th, the young participants of the project will present the results of their work on the stage of “Wielkopolski Bata”. Their performance will be not only the final of the project, but also a symbolic meeting of generations. At one event we will see both the best Polish dance couples competing for the Polish Cup, as well as children who are just starting their adventure with Polish tradition.

“Wielkopolski Bat” is more than a tournament. It's a story that inspires.

For nearly 15 years, the event in Wronki developed from a local initiative into a nationwide festival of Polish dances. Today it is a place where the next generations of dancers, instructors and lovers of Polish culture meet. This year's edition will be another opportunity to see the Polish tradition live - on the dance floor, on stage and in a direct meeting with the participants of the event.
