SÓGŁÓŁY - concert

They bring together jazz musicians, actors and a choir of people with intellectual disabilities, but above all they are a TEAM in which these differences have long ceased to matter. Such a slightly inferior model. The second family.

The ensemble is one of the most fascinating and significant artistic phenomena on the contemporary Polish and European cultural scene, bringing together three renowned jazz musicians: Marcel Baliński, Rafał Różalski and Bartosz Szablowski, two actors — Magdalena Koleśnik and Bartosz Bielenia — and a choir of people with intellectual disabilities. They create a musical space where boundaries blur and diversity becomes a strength. ・

In 2025 SĄGŁY received the most important award of the Polish phonographic industry — FRYDERYK — in the Album of the Year category — experimental jazz/contemporary improvised music.

After the release of the first album, they played almost 30 concerts — at Męski Graniu and Nowy Teatr, at Trójka and at the Off Festival. These are experiences from which it is impossible not to leave at least a little happier.

Because when you step outside the frame, you will see: you will not come back.

In the second album, they explore their singing potential. Solo, unison and polyphonic. There's jungle beat, there's soul, gospel, and pop. There is a song with potential for a stadium hit and artistic — so a bit Cracovian. Alternative, improvisation and operatic vocals. Deep breath. A musical experiment that happens between a disheveled keyboard and a million-dollar piano.

And why, and why? And to want everything!

There are texts. Always about something. They give simple answers to difficult questions. In Polish, English and made-up French, they talk about coming to terms with life and accepting the world.

Because there is not what is needed, and there is what is.

There is “fun” and a lot of joy. And a preview of something that will be on the third record. But maybe something completely different will be born? You have to have momentum in life...

It has to be done. Everything has to be given!
