We invite you to a family art workshop inspired by old monidls — hand-colored portraits that once adorned the walls of many houses. Together we will create contemporary versions full of color and imagination!
During the workshop we will color old photographs, draw and decorate portraits and create collages from cut elements, frames and decorations. This will be an opportunity not only to have creative fun, but also to remember, tell family stories and discover urban plots hidden in old photographs.
We will talk about what our photographs and portraits say about us, our loved ones and the places with which we are connected. For whom? For children, young people, parents and grandparents - for all those who like to create together, have a little imagination and want to look at old portraits with a grain of salt.
It is not necessary to have artistic experience - all you need is curiosity, a willingness to play and a little creative madness!
For whom: children, young people, parents, grandparents — for all those who like to create together and want to look at old portraits with a grain of salt, and at the same time talk about memories, family stories and the memory of the city.
It is not necessary to have artistic experience - all you need is a desire to play and a little imagination!

On a daily basis she works as a graphic designer in Nowy Pafawag. She is the author of several Wrocław murals. After hours, he travels, plays board games and trains climbing. Every day you can find her on instagram @ewaziembicka.
The project is implemented by the Ładne Historie Foundation, the Tadeusz Różewicz Municipal Public Library in Wrocław and the Nowy Pafawag Cultural Centre. The project was co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund — a state special purpose fund.
