“Memories written in the notes” - Concert Baobab Animations

We invite you to a unique concert “Memories written in the sheet music” performed by Baobab Animations — a musical journey through songs, stories and memories related to great Polish artists whose works are permanently etched in our memory. It will be more than a concert. A musical diary in which the next pieces will be combined into a story about the artists, their music and emotions that are still alive. Together we will return to songs that for many of us are part of personal memories — they remind us of important places, people, moments and moods. The artists of Baobab Animations will include Kora and Maanamu, Ryszard Riedel i Dżem, Czesław Niemen, Zbigniew Wodecki, Andrzej Zaucha, Tadeusz Nalepa, Marek Grechuta and Wojciech Młynarski. The repertoire will include, among others, “Cycads on the Cyclades”, “Dream of Victoria”, “I like to return to where I was”, “Do not prove”, “Memory”, “Prayer”, “Watchmaker of Light” and “Still in the Green Games”. The whole will be complemented by the visual atmosphere of the concert. The music will be accompanied by projections of photographs and visualizations referring to the artists and their work. Properly used lighting of the hall and characteristic retro lamps will create an atmospheric, somewhat nostalgic scenography, transferring the audience to the world of past decades. “Memories written in the notes” is an encounter with music that does not pass away — because some Melodies only need to be heard once to evoke a whole world of memories.
