The play inspired by Ana Elena Correa's book “We are all Belén” is a story about a woman whose body has become evidence in a case, and about a system that has forgotten what empathy is.
It is a theater that raises questions about the limits of freedom, about the right to vote and about community. Correa's report, documenting the case of a young Argentine woman wrongly convicted of miscarriage, has become a symbol of the fight for safe and legal abortion in Latin America.
Director Katarzyna Minkowska announces that the performance will adopt the convention of a theatrical court hearing. The audience will become witnesses and participants in the events that shook public opinion in Latin America. Nothing is obvious here — viewers not only observe, but become part of the stage process.
Because this story — even though it happened thousands of miles away — is still alive.
And it concerns all of us.
The performance uses loud music, artificial blood. There is content about miscarriage.
The show is recommended for viewers over 16 years of age.
