Neurodivergent is an experimental trio, featuring Kacpr Malisz, that expands the boundaries of improvisation through a raw and emotional exploration of neuroatypicality. And in such a tone, I could describe this project further, so that it sounds serious and professional.

But this album is something much more personal. It's a reflection of my own neuroatypicality — specifically ADHD, which I function with on a daily basis, which I look for (with quite good success) for in everyday life, and in music... I've stopped trying. I began to wonder, what if instead of fighting my seeming illogicality and chaos, I let them take over the creative process? And it came out. Repeating tracks, penetrating motifs, chaotic order. Cover designed back-to-front. The whole world turned upside down in a way that, surprisingly, begins to work.

Aga Derlak

Polish pianist, composer, improviser and pedagogue, whose work is distinguished by emotional depth. Known for her lyrical sound, expressive improvisational style and structured thinking, Derlak has gained recognition as one of the leading figures in contemporary jazz in Europe. From 2018-2019 She studied in the United States (Berklee College of Music), lived in Panama from 2019-2020 and has since traveled and toured the world, deepening her understanding of improvisation, composition and musical communication. Three times honored with the award of the FRYDERYK Phonographic Academy (2024: Artist of the Year, Album of the Year; 2016: Debut of the Year). He works as an academic teacher at the Faculty of Arts of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin.

The band is composed of musicians who bring extremely different perspectives and artistic experiences:

Miłosz Berdzik — immersed in hip-hop and avant-garde (Hoshi, Paktofonika)

Kacper Malisz — rooted in traditional music (Kapela Maliszów, Suferi)

Maciej Szczyciński and I — from the world of jazz and classics.
