Rynek 10, Katowice

December 16, 1981, Katowice. Mine “Uncle”. 13-year-old boys — Rafał, Grzegorz, Adam, Tomek. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. This is their story. But also the story of nine miners who did not return home that day. This is the story of the world behind the iron curtain, where packages from Germany come, where foreign films are released, German comics are bought on the “saber square” and bubble gum is chewed. We all know this story, but no one has ever told it that way. From the perspective of young guys, in whose eyes the worlds of imagination and real intersect. For whom the salvation from the coming war is the return of Mechagodzilla. Who are waiting for the entrance of the dragon, although the time of the apocalypse is approaching. This is not a mourning song or a happy song. This is a black ballad.
