Together with the heroes of the village of central Poland, we go through the whole ritual year, its description comes from the memoirs of Różewicz's mother (from the volume Mother Leaves). Following the calendar, we get to know the colorful characters, their customs, cares and joys. Folk customs and rites become the context for the poems of Tadeusz Różewicz, they allow to bring out their non-obvious connections with folk culture. The audience naturally becomes an autonomous part of the performance, building a real community with the actors. Wyskubki is an invigorating performance filled with music, singing, reflection and fun that reminds you how to seek harmony with the world around you.

From reviews:

“The value of Kamza's performance, brilliantly played by the six actors of the Contemporary, lies in the fact that Wyskubki works effectively on two levels — as a community, inclusive and universal story about returning to the family home and as a patchwork of Różewicz, referring more inquisitive viewers to the sources.” (Magda Piekarska, teatralny.pl).

“The whole story is marked by humor, a lot of looseness and freedom (...) The music itself (Aleksander Brzeziński is responsible for it), so important for the rhythm of this show, was also arranged with a grain of salt: we hear folk melodies, however very modern, won primarily on synthesizers”. Kamil Bujny, Teatrologia.info).

“Acting is a unique performance, played with a broad gesture (and yet intimate), each actor is worth remembering. They sing well.” (Małgorzata Matuszewska, miarakultury.blogspot.com).

Wyskubka's performance was based on poems and fragments of stories (among others: The Mother Goes Away, Buy a Cat in a Bag, Five Poems, Forest Echoes and Open Poem).
