Kalina Island

Symbol of sex, Polish Marilyn Monroe, but above all a talented, charismatic actress. Kalina Jędrusik, a colorful bird in the sermious reality of the Polish People's Republic, was distinguished by unrestrained sex appeal, love of profanity and an open relationship with Stanisław Dygat. She aroused extreme emotions - she was loved or hated. Rumor has it that Comrade Gomułka himself threw an ashtray at the TV at the sight of the nude artist. An underappreciated artist, categorized in a precisely invented image of a sex bomb.

The play is the winner of three awards at the 20th National Festival of Contemporary Dramaturgy “Reality Presented” 2021 in Zabrze: AUDIENCE AWARD Youth Jury Award. Actress award for Viktoria Węrzyn — Lichosyt for the role of Kalina Jędrusik. The performance took part in the 26th National Competition for the Exhibition of Polish Contemporary Art.
