The exhibition “Beksiński | Duda-Gracz” is a meeting of two extremely characteristic and at the same time different artistic worlds. Zdzisław Beksiński became famous above all for his compositions full of mystery, anxiety and extraordinary imagination, which have fascinated audiences in Poland and around the world for years. Jerzy Duda-Gracz in his work, in turn, observed man and the surrounding reality with extraordinary insight, often using irony, grotesque and a characteristic, recognizable language of painting.
The juxtaposition of the works of both artists provides an opportunity to look at different ways of telling about emotions, human nature and reality. It is also an opportunity to see how two strong artistic personalities, representing different styles and sensibilities, can create an interesting dialogue in one exhibition space.
