Body Vital Exhibition — Poznan

After a four-year break, BODY WORLDS returns to Poznań — the world's most famous exhibition presenting authentic human bodies subjected to the plastination method. From August 27 to December 31, 2026, in Hall No. 1 of the Poznań International Fair, you will be able to see its new edition — BODY WORLDS — Vital, dedicated to health, vitality, longevity and the influence of daily choices on the functioning of the human body. Four years ago, residents of Poznań were able to see the exhibition BODY WORLDS — The Cycle of Life, dedicated to the next stages of human life — from conception to late old age. BODY WORLDS — Vital is a new edition of the exhibition, which focuses on health, fitness and longevity, showing how diet, physical activity, sleep, stress levels or stimulants affect the condition of the body and the quality of our life.

More than 160 authentic exhibits await visitors, including human bodies and organs donated to the Institute of Plastination in Heidelberg by conscious and voluntary donors. Thanks to the plastination method developed by Dr. Gunther von Hagens, visitors can learn about human anatomy with extraordinary accuracy, see the work of muscles, internal organs and nervous system, and better understand the functioning of the human body.

BODY WORLDS is the first public exhibition of human anatomy in the world. More than 57 million people have seen it since its premiere, making it the most visited anatomical exhibition in history and one of the most recognizable projects to popularize science.

One of the most moving elements of the exhibition is the juxtaposition of healthy and diseased organs. Visitors can see how smoking destroys the lungs, how obesity affects the heart and circulatory system, and how excess sugar, salt and fats accelerate the aging process of the body and increase the risk of developing many civilization diseases. It is an image that appeals to the imagination much more strongly than statistics or medical textbooks.

Although BODY WORLDS presents authentic human bodies, its purpose is not to shock. It is an exhibition about life — its extraordinary complexity, strength and beauty. For more than two decades, it has inspired millions of people around the world to take greater care of their own health and a more conscious lifestyle.
