Exhibition “Mazovia in the Crown” — we invite you to curated tours

On October 11, we invite you to curatorial tours of the exhibition “Mazovia for the Crown. 500th anniversary of the incorporation of Mazovia into the Kingdom of Poland” — one of the most important exhibitions prepared by the Mazovian Museum in Płock in recent years.

The exposition was created on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the incorporation of Mazovia into the Kingdom of Poland and gathers unique monuments brought to Płock from the most important Polish museums, state and church archives and private collections. This is a rare opportunity to see them together, in one space.

Among them are, among others, the coat of arms of St. Sigismund with the Piast diadem, the Płock Bible, the chalice and paten of Konrad Mazowiecki, fragments of the coffin of the foundation of Princess Agafia, the Graduale of Bolesław II, the Code of Świętosław of Wojcieszyn, original medieval documents and unique coins of the Dukes of Mazovia.

Magdalena Bilska-Ciećwierz will talk about the monuments, their significance and the history of the Duchy of Mazovia and events from 500 years ago.
