The protagonists of Joanna Szczepkowska's play are two women who probably would never have met if it were not for chance.

Marta and Alina end up in a hospital room designed for one person. None of them wants to step down and leave, because each believes that it is her place in the “one”. Condemned to their companionship — they try to survive until someone comes and decides for them. Differences in character and views do not make it easy for them to wait, leading to great tensions, a series of funny misunderstandings, but also to unexpected twists and turns. The point of view of each of the women is not as obvious as it seems at first...

“Separatka” is a comedy, from the genre of those who, under the guise of a light form, smuggle the penetrating truth about our reality.

The play “Separatka” received the Grand Prix of the third edition of the Festival of Acting Arts TEATROPOLIS in the category Small Theatrical Forms.

The play takes part in the 31st National Competition for the Exhibition of Polish Contemporary Art.
