Formed in 2019, Yard Act quickly found its way onto the lips of journalists and fans of the British alternative — all thanks to a combination of post-punk and sharp, ironic social commentary. Their debut album “The Overload” (2022) took 2nd place in the UK, receiving a nomination for the prestigious Mercury Prize. In 2024, James Smith (vocals), Ryan Needham (bass), Sam Shjipstone (guitar) and Jay Russell (drums) presented “Where's My Utopia?” , which ranked in the Top 5 best-selling albums in the UK.
