Anna is an expert when it comes to wrong decisions. A spontaneous flight to Italy and an unauthorized overnight stay in the villa of random acquaintance Matteo are guaranteed — at the latest when his mother is at the door. Then Cousin Michael also appears. A dream guy! Could this be the best bad decision of your life?

Halle Bailey (The Mermaid, The Color Purple) plays Anna, a young woman who has given up her dream of becoming a chef. She drifts haphazardly through everyday life and her twenties. In doing so, she makes one bad decision after another. Anna then also loses her job as a house sitter (and therefore also her accommodation). A chance encounter with Matteo — who owns a villa in Tuscany — inspires her to fly to Italy against the advice of her best friend Claire (Aziza Scott, Home Before Dark).
But Anna's plan to secretly stay in Matteo's villa for just one night goes awry when Matteo's mother Gabriella (Isabella Ferrari) unexpectedly arrives at the door. In panic, Anna makes Gabriella believe that she is Matteo's fiancée. However, this tiny little lie becomes a huge problem when Matteo's attractive cousin Michael (Regé-Jean Page, Bridgerton, Black Bag) appears. Anna realizes that the sparks between them could start a fire that would completely turn her life upside down.

The film's international cast includes Lorenzo de Moor (The Legend Hunters) as Matteo, Marco Calvani (The Four Seasons) as an Italian taxi driver who befriends Anna, and Oscar® nominated Nia Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding) as Anna's house-sitting customer, Mrs. Dunn.

YOU, ME & ITALY was directed by renowned filmmaker Kat Coiro (Marry Me — Married at First Sight, Matlock), based on a screenplay by Ryan Engle (Rampage — Big meets Bigger, Beast — Hunters Without Mercy), based on an original idea by Ryan Engle and Kristin Engle. The film was produced by Will Packer (Girls Trip, the Ride Along films) and Johanna Byer (Point Blank, executive producer of Praise This) for Will Packer Productions. The executive producers were Ryan Engle and Kristin Engle.
