Young Voices: Come and Sing Choral Evensong

Join us on Wednesday 28th October for a special afternoon of choral singing for students in Years 9-13, led by Jennifer Sterling, Associate Choral Director at St Martin-in-the-Fields.

Beginning at 1pm, participants will rehearse a selection of choral repertoire, developing their ensemble skills, musicianship and sight-reading alongside the St Martin’s Choral Scholars, a talented ensemble of young professional singers. The afternoon will culminate in a public Evensong from 4-5pm, which friends and family are warmly invited to attend.

This October half-term event offers experienced young singers the opportunity to explore a new musical environment and help prepare a service at one of London’s leading choral venues. During St Martin-in-the-Fields’ 300th anniversary year, they will become part of a centuries-old musical tradition at the heart of this landmark church.

All voice parts are welcome. Participants should be confident reading music and have previous experience of singing in a choir. All music will be provided.

Advance booking is required and places are limited. Full participant information, including arrival details, will be sent ahead of the event.
