“With Classics Through Poland” — a unique concert of classical music in Siemiatycze

On October 22, 2026 at 19:00 in the concert hall at 25A Świętojańska Street in Siemiatycze, a unique concert of classical music will take place as part of the project “With Classics through Poland”, implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance. Two outstanding Polish artists will perform in front of the audience — cellist Tomasz Strahl and pianist Paweł Wakarecy.

The concert will be an opportunity to meet classical music in a masterful performance. The artists will present the works of the most outstanding composers, showing the richness of the sound of the cello and piano and the diversity of musical styles and eras.

Tomasz Strahl is one of the most outstanding Polish cellists, professor at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. He is a laureate of numerous music competitions, and his artistic activity includes concerts on prestigious stages in Poland and abroad. He has collaborated with many outstanding conductors and orchestras, winning the recognition of the public and music critics.

Paweł Wakarecy is a renowned pianist, a graduate of the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. He won prizes at national and international piano competitions, and in 2010 he received a distinction and a special prize for the best Pole at the 16th Fryderyk Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw. He performs both as a soloist and as a chamber musician.

The concert program will include compositions by Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Franz Schubert, Pietro Antonio Locatelli, Fryderyk Chopin and Piotr Czajkowski. The audience will hear pieces representing different eras and musical styles, from classical forms to emotional romantic compositions.

The project “With Classics Through Poland” aims to bring classical music closer to a wide audience and enable residents of smaller towns to have direct contact with outstanding artists.
