With his hand on his throat. Songs from the repertoire of Ewa Demarczyk

The inspiration of the performance is the unique character of Ewa Demarczyk, the Black Angel, an outstanding singer and stage personality. Her repertoire was special, musically and literarily tasted, emotional, evoking a whole range of feelings. WITH THE HAND ON THE THROAT is a dialogue composed of seven voices, seven stage personalities. The world in which heroes meet is a place where they confront themselves, with their conscience. Malachite, Latrodectus mactans, Wolf, Moth, Gull, Ice, Ariel discover the nooks and crannies of the human soul and tame fears, embark on a journey they must make to understand the meaning of existence.

The premiere of the play took place in January 2023 at the Contemporary Theatre in Warsaw, where the title will be operated until January 2026.
