Duration: 90 - 120 minutes

Dorota Rucka-Marmaj takes us into the world of Witkacy — full of provocations, unusual ideas and artistic experiments.

Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz “Witkacy” - an uncompromising and surprisingly contemporary artist. Both in life and after death considered a controversial figure. A visionary or a madman? Critic or mocker? Lover or despot? Without a doubt, a versatile artist who left behind literary and painting works. Creator of the Theory of Pure Form, according to which art is supposed to evoke metaphysical experiences in the recipient in order to better understand the mystery of existence. But this phenomenon of the Portrait Company “S. I. Witkiewicz”, founded by him in 1925, has been particularly firmly recorded in the history of art and in our memory.
