We invite you to the Library of Knowledge for another meeting discovering the secrets of working in the prosector. What is really going on behind the doors of the prosectory? What does the autopsy work look like, what do people in this profession face and what happens to the body after the examination is completed? During the meeting, we will look behind the scenes of work in the prosector, getting to know it from the perspective of a person who has direct contact with it. We will talk about the path to this profession, daily duties and cooperation with the doctor and the police. We will also look at the less obvious side of this work: the body's reactions to contact with death, smells, real difficulties during the section, and what the notorious “dead poison” actually is.

About the event

There will be a conversation about the psyche, emotions and the boundaries that must be set to separate professional and private life. We will consider whether it is possible to get used to death, how to cope with the psychological load and what helps to maintain balance at work, which is rarely discussed openly.

Finally, we will move on to what happens after the completion of the section: the further fate of the body and organs, and the importance of respect for the deceased in practice.

Małgorzata Mięsiak — graduate of criminology, professionally associated with working with the dead. He prepares the dead for burial and performs autopsies. He treats his work not only as a profession, but above all as one of his greatest passions. He willingly shares his knowledge and experience, showing that death can be talked about openly, factually and without unnecessary taboos. Through education, he tries to tame the theme of death and show its true face. She works with writers as a content consultant, helping to create stories that blend gripping plot with credibility. It supports authors in presenting work on the dead, investigations and forensic realities.

Free admission.
