Adaptation of the only novel by Andrzej Bursa, an artist who became a legend as a “accursed poet”.
In this show, we can't be sure of anything, not even if the murder actually took place. The main character is allegedly murdering his aunt. He seems to be trying to get rid of the dead body, but he knows the murder only from literature and is unfamiliar with the practical side of the issue. And here none other than the aunt's corpse itself comes to the rescue, providing support and practical advice.
However, the student does not annihilate his aunt in order to still argue with her corpse in the apartment. He embarks on his usual wanderings through the streets of the city, and along the way he meets a multitude of different characters — with some he willingly drinks, he would rather run away before others, with others he willingly discusses freedom or suffering. A visit from relatives will lead him into real confusion...
The plot of this show can not be taken completely seriously. It is also difficult to say unequivocally - is it a comedy or a drama? It is certainly a somewhat gruesome thing, absurd and staged with a sense of humor.
The adaptation was prepared by Igor Gorzkowski, he also directed the play. This is another collaboration of this artist with the Olsztyn team, with whom he previously prepared, among others, “Flight over the Cuckoo's Nest” by Dale Wasserman, “The Possessed” by Witold Gombrowicz and “Prawiec and Other Times” by Olga Tokarczuk.
