“Let's Start Again” is a comedy written especially for Aldona Jankowska and Tomasz Sapryk, by Aleksandra Wolf (author of lyrics for the TV cabaret Przabławy w Tłok from the program “Szymon Majewski Show”). This is a performance that came to the Kamienica Theatre from Gdynia. Located in one of the most beautiful Polish cities, it conveys the atmosphere of a seaside resort.
Duration of the performance: 80 min. (played without interruption)
For Viewers from the age of 15.
(...) The latest premiere, or “Let's Start Again” by Aleksandra Wolf and directed by Tomasz Sapryk, is undoubtedly great fun and applies 100% relaxation. Of course - this is a comedy! But based on very non-comedic events and real-life situations! Wolf's lyrics are sensational. Jankowska and Sapryk play brilliantly. Witold Stefaniak's scenography is as it should be, and the light and sound — impeccable. So there is power! And if that remains the case, a repeat of the success of “Sam, Play It Again” is very likely.
“Let's start again” is a farce written intelligently and with a sense of comedy. The author entertains the audience with dialogue and apparently has fun in this game herself. Wolf wrote this play especially for the acting duo - Aldona Jankowska (Ola) and Tomasz Sapryk (Karol). He makes fun of psychoanalytic formulas, but he does not feed on Freud. He introduces five types of character according to Eric Fromm, but when Karol inadvertently escapes profanity in conversation, Ola points out that he is not participating in the play “The Curse” at the Powszechny Theater. There was a surprisingly perverse finale on stage. The reviewer (under the threat of not being invited to the theater again) cannot disclose it. The ending invented by Alexandra Wolf each of the viewers must take to the chest himself. The play was directed by Tomasz Sapryk, giving the comedy a lively pace, while evoking reliable humorous effects.
The art itself, I don't deny, is fun. We have moments in it for lively sincere reactions with laughter. Even to my eternal sad person, who is difficult to cheer up, I even managed to smile several times under my nose, so delicately subtly.
