Zaduszkowe concerts have a long and beautiful tradition in Skierniewice. This year at the Centre for Culture and Art in Skierniewice, together with editor Jan Chojnacki and the Nie-Bo Music Orchestra, we will pay homage to the blues, considered by many to be the “father of jazz”.

An opportunity to meet is also the anniversary of the 50th anniversary of the legendary radio show “The White Shade of the Blues”, on which whole crowds and generations of fans of music, not only blues, grew up musically.

Co-creator (along with editor Wojciech Mann), then author and long-time host of the show is one of the most outstanding Polish music journalists, animators of musical culture and music producers — editor Jan Chojnacki. For decades, the broadcast had a permanent place on the air of “Trójki” - Program III of Polish Radio, later by the author it was transferred to the Internet antenna of Radio Baobab. For several years now, on Radio Nowy Świat, editor Jan Chojnacki has also been running a similar programmatically and musically popular program “Children of the Blues”.

The concert planned in the CKiS Concert Hall in the form of a radio broadcast, which will be conducted from the stage by none other than the editor Jan Chojnacki himself, will be a kind of benefit and an elementary element of the blues. On the stage, the excellent Ne-Bo Orchestra will be presented, which will include musicians from the proverbial “top” of the Polish blues and blues-rock scene.

In the concert program we will hear the songs of such giants as: BB King, Eric Clapton, Elvis Presley, Carlos Santana, James Brown, Joe Cocker, Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin and Mira Kubasińska and Tadeusz Nalepa.

We invite you!
