Lemanczyk/Golicki/Sarnecki Trio feat. Jacques Kuba Séguin is a unique, international jazz collaboration that brings together the leading instrumentalists of the Polish jazz scene with one of the most respected Canadian trumpeters, Jacques Kuba Séguin. The project is implemented as part of the international JAZZ PO POLSKU program “Around the World”.

Team composition

The trio was formed in 2023 and functions as a collective — without a single, clearly dominant leader. Together, the musicians compose, arrange and shape the band's distinctive sound.

• Piotr Lemańczyk — double bass and bass guitar. One of Europe's most respected jazz bassist, known for his great versatility and stage experience.

• Adam Golicki — drums. Active and versatile session musician, collaborating with artists representing different currents of contemporary jazz.

• Rafał Sarnecki — electric guitar. Composer and guitarist who has lived and composed in New York for more than a decade, developing an international career.

• Jacques Kuba Séguin — trumpet, special guest. An outstanding Canadian trumpeter of Polish origin. His expressive style is a natural complement to the European, more structured approach of the Polish trio.

Music and album “NYC Session”

The current concert program is based on the band's debut album “NYC Session”.

The music of the formation is primarily modern mainstream jazz, enriched with dynamic, sometimes rock expression. The compositions combine sophisticated harmony, expressive and melodic themes and great freedom of improvisation.

The album was recorded at the legendary Spin Studios in Queens, New York, under the supervision of sound engineer Roy Hendrickson. The album features world-class guitarists Mike Stern and Leni Stern, which further underlines the New York character of the project.

International nature of the project

The project is one of the examples of the promotion of Polish jazz on the international stage as part of the JAZZ PO POLSKU program “Around the World”.

In the spring of 2026 Lemanczyk/Golicki/ Sarnecki Trio feat. Jacques Cuba Séguin toured Canada. The band has performed, among others:

• Montreal — Dièse Onze club,

• Halifaxia,

• Vancouver,

• Edmonton,

• Calgary,

• Saskatoon.

The Canadian tour was an opportunity to present contemporary Polish jazz to an international audience. The ensemble draws attention primarily with its high musical level, excellent stage chemistry and the combination of European compositional sensitivity with North American energy and freedom of improvisation.
