MY BELOVED/Indie Rock, Indie/Alternative, Jazz, Post-Punk, Rock
Meet the mysterious and dystopian musical world of Berlin trio ZAHN, where experimental instrumental rock fuses with noise, dark jazz and some kraut spice on October 16 at the Flea!
Berlin trio ZAHN have garnered attention for their intense music that resonates with a world heading off the edge. The trio consists of Chris Breuer (Heads, formerly The Ocean Collective), Nic Stockmann (Heads, formerly Eisenvater) and Felix Gebhard (Muff Potter, live Einstürtzende Neubauten, live Tocotronic) who together constantly expand their creative territory.
Their latest album, 'Adria', offers the listener an escape from everyday life through lively soundscapes where krautrock, dark jazz, noiserock, postpunk, postrock and electronic music meet. On the journey, the listener is drawn through desolate, dystopian worlds in a musical universe that has been compared to NEU! , Swans, Metz, The Jesus Lizard and Tortoise.
ZAHN delivers a raw, visceral musical experience that challenges the status quo, without the band needing to utter a single word. The band has left a strong impression with electrifying performances at Desert Fest Berlin, Orange Blossom Festival and Reeperbahn Festival, among others, and now they are ready to power the Flea on October 16.
MY BELOVED
Since 1996, the Copenhagen-based band has created dark, atmospheric soundscapes where post-rock, experimental textures and cinematic crescendos meet. Their music moves from fragile, soaring passages to intense walls of sound, always with a strong sense of dynamics and mood.
With six albums and decades of live experience, My Beloved has toured in both Europe and China. This year they mark 30 years as a band with their seventh release, November Sun, landing November 13, 2026.
