After months of renovation works, the Municipal Cultural Centre in Pionki reopens its doors to residents. On Sunday, October 25, we invite you to the opening of the building at 1 Radomska Street — there will be an opportunity to look into the renovated halls and see how the interiors have changed.
On this day, we want to show the residents the results of the completed renovation works, which covered the interior of the building. The renovated halls and spaces of the IOC will once again be the venue for classes, workshops, meetings, concerts and other cultural events. Therefore, on October 25, there will be no classic ribbon-cutting and closed celebration - the doors will be open to all who want to just come, look around and see the IOC from the inside.
We start with the theater for the little ones
The program will begin at 16:00 with a play for the youngest “Sikorka Agatka” performed by the actors of the Gargulec Theater. This is a winter, humorous story about friendship, courage and concern for nature. Together with the titular heroine, the children will learn about the habits of birds living in Poland, find out what difficulties they face in winter and how they can be helped. The show combines a theatrical story with music, colorful scenography and educational elements.
Come in, see and discover
During the opening we will also prepare walk-in workshops. No prior registrations, participant lists and seat reservations. You go in, do something with your own hands, take your work with you and... you can move on to explore the IOC. You can join when you feel like it — spontaneously and without obligation.
Throughout the afternoon you will also be able to visit the renovated interiors of the building and see the rooms where classes, workshops, meetings and events will take place. It was the interior of the IOC that was the object of the completed investment and it is to them that we want to invite residents.
For the final — a concert by Calidum
The musical finale of the opening will be a concert by the band Calidum, which we already had the opportunity to hear during this year's Rock Pions. It is a young formation associated with the Pionkow-based CKZiU, which already stands out for its instrumental composition — instead of the typical guitar set, trumpet, trombone, saxophones, tuba and drums appear on the stage. The result is an energetic, powerful sound with a characteristic wind section, which we will hear from 6:30 p.m.
It is not necessary to choose one attraction. You can come to the performance, look at the workshops, walk through the renovated halls, stay for a concert or just drop by for a moment and see what has changed inside.
