LITERARY MEETING
Premiere of the new
Michał Witkowski's novel “Substance” (ed. Literanova sign) scheduled
is on October 14, a week later the author will meet us at the Center
Culture CASTLE in Poznań.
Witkowski returns to fiction — he does it with great momentum and literary
impudence. Like the Marquis de Merteuil, he intrigues, seduces the reader and
invites you to a court full of masks, rituals and violence.
Year 1770. Unhealthy reigns in the Krystynopolskie Palace
atmosphere — closer to shameless murmurs than to aristocratic manors.

is what it seems. The author crosses the boundaries of species and in pursuit of
Gombrowicz takes on a perverse game with the romantic tradition. And he does it in
in a very ironic way. Something in the shape of a national opera à rebours is being created. {publisher description}
