About the event

Polish premiere of Looped by Matthew Lombardo, translated by Andrzej Kłosiński.
Hollywood, 1965 year. Legendary stage and film star Tallulah Bankhead comes to the recording studio to add one short line to his film. A seemingly routine session quickly turns into a test of patience and a kind of therapy - one sentence is repeated endlessly, and the tension in the studio increases with each subsequent “loop”. The meeting of the great, uncompromising diva of old Hollywood with the editor turns into a brilliant, ironic duel of characters.
Matthew Lombardo's play, based on an authentic episode from Bankhead's life, is a penetrating and at the same time extremely entertaining story of the artist's fame, passing and loneliness. A single sentence recorded over and over becomes a metaphor for a life that can loop in ambitions, memories and unfulfilled hopes.
In the role of the legendary Tallula Bankhead, we will see Krystyna Janda, who faces one of the most expressive and rebellious characters in the history of American show business.
ATTENTION! There are profanities in the text of the play.
During the performance, cigarettes are smoked on the stage.
