Exactly on the 50th anniversary of Stanisław Marc's death, his forgotten works will sound again in Przeworsk.
11 October 2026 | 17:00 Orangery of the Palace and Park Complex in Przeworsk FREE ADMISSION
This evening we invite you to the world where Stanisław Marzec lived and created — from aristocratic residences and court orchestras to pre-war spas and the musical life of interwar Poland. Poloneses, waltzes and other dances. The sound of the orchestra, choir and soloists.
NOT JUST TO HEAR THE MUSIC. FEEL THE ATMOSPHERE OF HER ERA.
Stanisław Marzec — a native of Przeworszcz, composer, musician and author of the hynal of the city of Przeworsk — left behind a work that was almost forgotten for decades. However, old manuscripts have survived, the oldest of which are about 115 years old. Today they are re-read and prepared for execution. Among Stanisław Marc's many compositions, we will hear, among others, “Memories from Łańcut” and “To Żegiestow-Zdrój”, evoking two important worlds of his musical journey — aristocratic Łańcut and pre-war spas. He gave concerts in Rabka, Żegiestów and Krynica, and at the end of his life he lived in Polanica-Zdrój. The program will also include the eponymous “On the Przeworska land” — in a special study prepared for this evening.
EXACTLY 50 YEARS LATER, HIS MUSIC WILL SOUND AGAIN ON THE PRZEWORSK LAND.
