DreamWorks Animation, the studio that created unforgettable bonds between a boy and a dragon in “How to Train a Dragon”, an ogre and a donkey in the animation “Shrek” and a robot and a caterpillar in “Wild Robot”. Now it presents a dazzling and touching story about two lifelong friends who must unite.

The new film was written and directed by Oscar® nominees Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado, and is produced by Oscar® nominee Mark Swift, creator of “Cat in Boots: The Last Wish.”

Grammy and Oscar® Award-winning H.E.R. and Liza Soberano lend their voices to Jo and Raissie. These are friends from an early age who are just graduating from high school and are on the threshold of completely new stages of life.

While celebrating together on the last evening before parting, the girls accidentally discover a mysterious portal that takes them to the magical island of Nakali. It is an extraordinary land full of fantastic and mythical creatures that they have heard about since childhood in the stories passed down by their Filipino families.

Some of these characters will become friends, others enemies. Jo and Raissa must face the most dangerous creature on the island.

When they discover that the memories of their friendship are the price to return home, Jo and Raissa will race to find a way to leave the island before forgetting each other forever.
