The friendship between the energetic and adventurous Jo and the responsible and sensible Raissa has been going on since elementary school.

Finally, they are on the verge of adulthood, and Raissa leaves for college. The farewell evening turns into an unusual journey. Through a mysterious portal, they find themselves on the legendary island of Nakali, a mysterious world inspired by Philippine mythology, inhabited by fascinating creatures, magical beings, but also dangers lurking around every corner.

Together with the unlucky but charming werewolf Rav and a group of new allies, the girls must face the terrifying Manananggal, the island's most powerful being. However, they quickly discover that the greatest danger does not lie in Nakali's darkness, for to return home they will have to pay an unimaginable price: the loss of all memories of their friendship.
