Surprising Connections. Sensory activities for children from 4 to 6 years

Kuba Bąkowski's work is very perverse. In the installation Light in the ether, the artist uses the invisible material of air to fill his dream of crossing borders in the shape of a white t-shirt. In addition, he decides to copy a photo of Yuri Gagarin — the first man in space — and wear it like the image of his favorite band. He uses everyday objects to tell the story of traversing physical and mental space.

During our classes we will reflect on who is our unsurpassed role model, how strongly dreams affect the shape of our lives, and we will create soft cushions that will accompany us wherever we decide to stop and dream.

We invite you to a new series of activities that will allow children from four to six years old to get to know the works of art presented at exhibitions in MOCAK and free, expressive work. We will tame the museum space, stimulate sensory integration and turn contact with contemporary art into interesting fun. The workshop will be full of multi-sensory tasks. Our participants, together with their parents, will be able to learn about the expressive power of the forms they will see in the museum space and try their own interpretation of a theme or technique. We will enchant with color, smell, sound, texture. To play freely, it is worth taking clothes in which it will be possible to get dirty.

We invite all fans to work! , who are more than three years old and want to continue playing with art.

Conducted by: Katarzyna Grudniewska — educator and artist of visual arts, doctor of art. He cooperates with Cracow cultural institutions, children's universities and schools in the field of art education. She teaches a visual arts course in high school with an international baccalaureate. He organizes exhibitions, writes texts in the field of culture.
