Digital Collections. Opportunities and limitations in the creative use of digitized resources | Meeting

If you have ever wondered if and how you can use photographs from museum collections available on the official websites of the institution, then we invite you to this meeting. Would you like to use digital museum resources in advertising, publications or popular gadgets? Or are you creating an offer of collectible photography, an audio description, a workshop scenario or preparing an exhibition? On selected examples, experts from the Inventory Department of the Museum of Photography will discuss different forms of use of MuFo digital collections, present the effects and explain the legal requirements.

Conducting:

Katarzyna Marko — curator and art historian. Since 2006, she has been associated with the Museum of Photography in Krakow, where she currently heads the section for sharing collections in the Inventory Department. He is engaged in the development and research of nineteenth-century photography, with a special focus on the studio of Awit Szubert. She is the author and co-author of publications on photography, audio description scripts for MuFo collections and curator of exhibitions.

Eliza Kubiak — museologist, cultural animator, graduate of philosophy at the University of Warsaw, photography at the Faculty of Art and Design of UKEN and museology at the Postgraduate Studies in Museum Studies of the Jagiellonian University. Since 2016 he has been working at the Museum of Photography in Krakow. Author of the book “Europe”, numerous publications and scripts of audio-descriptions of photographs from the collection of MuFo, book reviewer.
