Silesian Song and Dance Ensemble - Kindness was born

Kindness was born to us

Christmas performance of the Song and Dance Ensemble “Silesia”

A colorful Christmas show, consisting of the most beautiful Christmas carols and pastorals, interspersed with regional and national dances.

In the concert we will hear carols, inscribed in the centuries-old tradition of Christmas celebrations: “God is born”, “Little Jesus”, “Silent Night” and “Adeste fideles”. Of great importance in this concert are the author's compositions by Stanisław Hadyna to the words of Kazimierz Szemioth “Na pasterka gorole”, “The shepherds did not delay” or “Święta to”. Listeners are also touched by the unique “Polonez-carol”, whose patriotic overtones remain in the memory for a long time. We will also see unique dance arrangements by Elwira Kamińska — the first choreographer of the Ensemble: “Trojak”, “Kujawiaka-Oberek” and “Krakowiak”, as well as arrangements by Władysław Stefanik “Polonez-Mazur”.

The whole program is colored with tales of Hanna Nowobilska from Podhale, which introduce the listeners to a unique festive atmosphere.
