Space, calm, focus, melody, counterpoint and word are qualities that permeate the musical language of Wenceslas of Szamotula. The unobtrusive charm of the lute makes the selected works of the Renaissance creator sound in a special way. About five hundred years later, compositions are created that maintain religious content and musical mastery, but are already written in a different, contemporary and characteristic musical language for different composers. The famous song “Mother of the Most Holy”, an ardent and deep prayer in a beautiful elaboration by Henryk Mikołaj Górecki completes the concert in which word and sound are so close together.
