About the event

Learn more about everyday astronomical phenomena. What's going on in the sky? Why does the Sun shine? How do the times of day and year change? The film also tells about the constellations, space travel and the moon landing.

The Sun and Moon are the brightest celestial bodies in our sky, and it seems to us that we know them perfectly. But are you sure? In the video we will take a closer look at why the Sun shines, where everyday phenomena such as day and night, the phases of the Moon and the seasons come from, as well as what the less everyday ones, like eclipses, consist of. We will also learn how people have explained it in the past. The picture introduces the young viewer to the phenomena taking place in the sky, as well as historical manned missions to the Moon, and helps to separate scientific explanations from various misconceptions.

Lecturers: Wojciech Malajkat, Krzysztof Tyniec.

Before the screening there is a live show conducted in Polish.

The film has audio description and subtitles in Polish.
