One of Asia’s finest orchestras, the Taiwan Philharmonic takes audiences on a thrilling ride through our solar system and into deep space. John Adams’ propulsive Short Ride in a Fast Machine launches a journey that visits Holst’s menacing Mars and jubilant Jupiter, framed by Strauss’ majestic Also sprach Zarathustra – familiar from 2001: A Space Odyssey – and John Williams’ iconic Star Wars Suite. It’s a high‑octane, cinematic evening of sci‑fi soundscapes and orchestral spectacle.
Programme: John Adams – Short Ride in a Fast Machine; Richard Strauss – Also sprach Zarathustra; Holst – The Planets: Mars & Jupiter; John Williams – Star Wars Suite
Performers: Jun Märkl (conductor); Taiwan Philharmonic
